	Our spring class brochure is here! We are excited to welcome back some of your favourite instructors: Ron Collins, designer and occasional freelance writer for Threads magazine, as well as speaker and teacher, Ron is in hot demand across the country. Ron has inspired audiences on Sew Perfect (HGTV) and Sew Much Fun (Life Network) Becky Holloway never ceases to amaze us with her intricately detailed creations. 	wooly advent
		This prim advent calendar features needle felted and embellished seasonal designs on a background of black wool. Each individual design will be a 4 1/2” pocket for advent goodies. This class will be a primer for this block of the month, there will be 2-3 pockets each month with a finishing class in November. 	candied hexes
		Create your own quilt inspired by Kerry Dear’s delicious Candied Hexagon quilt. Let Jeneane Whyte show you how to make the five basic hexagon blocks for this quilt using Marti Michell’s hexagon templates. 		Edith Koprek guides you through this simple project that makes use of your leftover stash to create a fun and funky quilt. None of the fabrics need to match, just grab what you have, or choose a theme (polka dots, batiks, Kaffe Fassett, Christmas, Hallowe’en) and start piecing! 		Back for the spring, this impressive pieced quilt is a bit like eating peanuts, it is hard to stop with just one, block that is! Make it traditional or mix it up a bit and use modern fabrics, whatever you choose this quilt is high on the learning curve for basis piecing techniques. “The Farmer’s Wife” book is required. 	from start to finish: a quilting primer
		New to quilting or feeling like it’s time for a refresher? We are lucky to have Edith Koprek to guide you through the quilting process. Students will come for an evening prep class to discuss colour theory and choose fabrics, then over the course of the two day workshop, will learn quilting terminology, rotary cutting, strip piecing, machine quilting and binding. After a weekend of fun and learning you will complete a crib size quilt and be planning your next project. Must have basic sewing skills. 	sarah’s revival
		Sarah’s Revival pays homage to Sarah Holcomb’s wonderful quilt, hand pieced and appliqued in 1847. The redesign of Sarah’s quilt, using 36 unique and original blocks and borders, gives applique enthusiasts an opportunity to make their own tribute to Sarah in sumptuous reds and warm white. Students will learn papercut needleturn applique techniques in the two introductory classes to get them on their way. Fee includes pattern one. 2 classes Tuesday March 6, 20 7:00-9:30pm
